This course enables students to comprehend, reflect, and relate to the study of life and living organisms while examining biology and biochemistry concepts. This traditional biology course encourages exploration of new scientific discoveries .The biologic components of the course include biochemistry, cell biology, cell processes, ecology, evolution, heredity and reproduction, human body systems, and taxonomy. Each unit has a hands-on teacher demonstrated lesson with reading, writing, reflections, reports, essays and projects. All labs will be presented with scientific writing processes (lab reports and/or research papers), and data tables, graphs, and diagrams to present quantitative and qualitative data. The course goal is for the students to exhibit scientific knowledge and thinking and demonstrate their ability to become universal learners based on the reinforcement and the real-life phenomena applications from the course.
