This course prepares students for Algebra 1 by introducing them to variables, algebraic expressions, equations, functions, inequalities, and their graphical representation. The students develop the ability to explore and solve mathematical problems, think critically, work cooperatively and communicate mathematical ideas clearly.
This course includes a broad series of lessons and activities that offer a variety of modalities for ultimate student engagement and content retention. Each unit contains a series of lessons that include an introduction of content, a virtual demonstration of that content, and repeated opportunity to practice that content, along with a quiz per lesson, exam per unit, and final exam at the end of the course.
Algebra I is a comprehensive presentation of algebra for the high school student.
